Staff Christmas Celebrations

Our staff Christmas party went down a storm last week! Held in our Moonlight bar, it was beautifully decorated and we enjoyed an enormous and very well presented buffet prepared by our very own, very talented chefs!

The show will be taking place at the Moonlight Cabaret Bar, Sunset Beach Club, Saturday 19th December. Tickets can be bought on the door, doors open at 10pm.

WOW...All Winners!

New this year! The WOW Factor All Winners Show! As seen in the EuroWeekly. If you live here on the Coast then you will have no doubt heard how fantastic the Wow Factor went, both this year and last year, the Costa del Sol's very own version of the famous X Factor! With a variety of great acts including Sapphire, 4Shure, Saskia Fraas, Corrine Cooper, Christian Fa and many many more, it is hardly surprising the show was such a success! So that's why we are bringing them together once more for another fantastic night of entertainment, and better still it's right here at the Moonlight Cabaret Bar! Entrance to the show, in aid of Cudeca is just 10€. So if you missed out once, don't miss out again!

Estepona's Over 50's!

This weekend saw another successful Over 50's Show in Estepona. For the third year running the Palacio de Congresos was filled with a mixture of nationalities, most visiting from the local area, but some from all over the Costa del Sol. There was a high participation of local exhibitors including hospitals, banks, estate agents, excursion agencies and much more. A great weekend for anyone who attended or exhibited!

Christmas in Benalmadena

With just one day until the advent calendars start, the festive spirit is creeping in! Lot of our staff today have been very busy making the hotel sparkle! With beautiful christmas trees, special nativity scenes and lots of fairy lights, the place is well and truly ready for the festive holiday season! Artist's Impression of the Tikki Lounge!

Looks like we have got a budding artist in the team! Miss Steffi Wallace, daughter of our Commercial Director, drew this fantastic picture of our Tikki Lounge Pool Bar. Drew from memory, it's clear the importance that ice creams has on ten year olds! We think this picture is fab and are looking forward to the next one! Fantastic Festival of Blues

My first wedding exhibition!

The first English speaking wedding show on the Costa del Sol took place last weekend. The Perfect Wedding Expo was held at the Palacio de la Paz in the Fuengirola fairground. It was the first wedding fair I have attended and I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and the great turn-out of both exhibitors and visitors. There were suppliers present for everything from delicious chcoolate fountains, beautiful wedding dress and evening gown designs to diamonds and jewellery as well as florists, planners and photographers, making it the one stop shop for any bride to be, planning their wedding on the coast. III International Blues Festival Benalmadena

In it's third year, The International Blues Festival took place last weekend at The Moonlight Cabaret Theatre in Sunset Beach Club. With great value entrance tickets, and lots of fabulous acts it is hardly surprising that there was a fantastic turn- out ! Make sure you keep an eye out for next year's event!

English Speaking Wedding Show

This weekends sees the First English speaking wedding fair on the coast! Open 10am - 8pm on Saturday 14th October and Sunday 15th October, the "Perfect Wedding Expo" will be held in Fuengirola at the Palacio de la Paz. There is going to be everything you need for planning your wedding day, all under one roof! Many different suppliers will be exhibiting at the show, including wedding planners, wedding fashion, jewellery suppliers, photographers, hair and make-up professionals, florists, transport suppliers, musicians and of course a variety of superb venues for you special day, including Sunset Beach Club!

Senior Times Over 50's Show Dublin

Chelo, our sales manager arrived in Dublin yesterday and today is attending the Senior Times' Over 50 show at the RDS centre, representing Sunset Beach Club! She will be there all weekend and is sharing a stand with the Andalucian Tourist board, so if you are in the area pop in and say hi!

Getting married in Spain...

Two weddings in two days! Yesterday was the wedding of Sarah and Derek who got married in a local church ceremony and today is the wedding blessing of Mary and Mick whose ceremony is taking place as I type! Congratulations to both couples!

Outdoor Wedding Reception

Beautiful Al fresco dining at a poolside location! Last week Jim & Elaine got married in a church ceremony in Benalmadena Pueblo (The Old Village) and then celebrated with a gala dinner reception in our terrace restaurant followed by drinks and disco until 5am in our Moonlight Bar.

Wedding Journal Show 2009

Dreaming of a wedding in Spain? Getting married in Benalmadena

Congratulations to Kim & James who celebrated their wedding here at the hotel on Saturday! The happy newlyweds enjoyed an al-fresco buffet style reception in the glorious weather on our poolside terrace followed by drinks and dancing in our Sala Malaga function room.

Today is the wedding of Michelle & Barry. They will be getting married in a church here in Benalmadena and then celebrating with a gala dinner wedding reception in our Sala Malaga banquet room.

Annemie from our Golf & leisure Department here at Sunset Beach Club is attending the 50+ beurs in Utrecht this week! She arrived in Holland last night and will be sharing a stand with the Spanish Tourism Board from today until Sunday. The show is being held at the Jaarbeurs Centre in Utrecht, Holland.

This beautiful fairylit stand is from Castleknock Hotel & Country Club at the Wedding and Honeymoon Show in Dublin last week! Castleknock Hotel & Country Club is Sunset Beach Club's FBD Sister hotel in Ireland and if you choose to book your wedding at their hotel you are then offered 7 nights of free accomodation with us here in Benalmadena!

Here is Annemie on the Sunset Beach Club stand at last weekend's Wedding and Honeymoon show in Dublin! We had lots of enquiries and gave out lots of wedding packs, hardly surprising with getting married in Spain being such a great value option!

Today is the wedding of Sonia & Karl! The happy couple will be getting married in a traditional Spanish church ceremony here in Benalmadena and then celebrating with drinks and a gala dinner in our beautiful wedding reception room!

Annemie from our golf and leisure department arrived to Zandvoort late last night, and will today be attending the Dutch KLM Open, she will be sharing a stand with the Andalucian Tourist Board.

Spinning Sunset Style!

Boyd's fitness centre at Sunset Beach Club was recently refurbished and now offers a spacious air conditioned exercise room. Spinning classes take place on various days through the week and are included in the small fee

that can be paid on entrance.

Malaga Feria

Starting last night, Malaga feria is now well underway! With bustling streets, colourful costumes and plenty of people, why not get the train or bus to Malaga centre and enjoy a day or night of Spanish fun!

Wedding Celebrations at Sunset Beach Club

A belated congratulations to Melissa & Mark, along with Barbara & Keith! Both couples got married here on the Costa del Sol last week and celebrated their wedding receptions in Sunset Beach Club's Sala Malaga.

Virgen del Carmen

Another one of the Spanish Summer holidays will take place on the Costa del Sol this week. Thursday 16th of July is the official holiday for Día de Nuestra Señora del Carmen, however the festivities of Virgen del Carmen are celebrated on the night of the 15th July, where the virgen is carried through the towns of Benalmadena, Fuengirola and many others and then sent out to sea with a parade of fishing boats.

Ann Marie and Darren are getting married in Benalmadena this afternoon and will then be celebrating their wedding reception with us here at Sunset Beach Club later on this evening. Their gala dinner will be served in the Moonlight room and they will then enjoy a flamenco show followed by a disco!

Children's evening entertainment

Once again this Summer we will be offering an Evening kid's club which will be starting tomorrow from 6.30pm - 9.00pm! This fantastic facility giving parents a night off is available 3 nights per week, for children aged 5-12 years and for just 6€ including dinner. Evening activities include mini bingo, face painting, drawing contest, disney films and much more!
